BIO
John Rottier has been practicing law for about a decade. He is licensed by the state of Illinois and the state of Indiana as well as in federal court for the Northern District of Illinois, Central District of Illinois, Northern District of Indiana, and Southern District of Indiana. He speaks English, Spanish, German and some Chinese and French. He is originally from Northwest Indiana, currently lives in Chicago and has lived abroad in Spain, Germany, Mexico, and Taiwan. His spouse is an immigrant and has personally gone through the immigration process as both spouse and attorney, so John can personally relate with what you are going through on your case.
Besides being passionate about immigrants and immigration law at work, he is also very involved with the community on these issues. He is on the board of the directors for nonprofit Northern Illinois Justice for Our Neighbors, which is a faith-driven ministry of the United Methodist Church. In addition to being on the board of directors, he is also the volunteer coordinator for Justice For Our Neighbor’s Chicago legal clinic. He also volunteers with World Relief’s Good Neighbor Program, which helps support a new refugee family throughout their resettlement journey in the USA. He is also involved in different immigration ministries at Urban Village Church, where he is an active member.

Norma P Navarro is paralegal for Rottier Law Office. She has been working in the legal field for 5 years, and has 20 years experience in customer service. She is originally from Guadalajara, Mexico, and she is fluent in English and Spanish.
Norma is well known for her professionalism and caring attitude towards clients. Being an immigrant herself, she understands the process and can relate to our clients easily.
When she isn’t at work, she enjoys spending time cooking, reading, and trying to keep up with the many activities of her daughter.
SELENE GONZALEZ-CARRILLO

Selene Gonzalez-Carrillo is a legal assistant. She is originally from Mexico, and she is fluent in English and Spanish. She is traditionally trained as an environmental educator and has spent 15 wonderful years providing equity focused, sustainable and civic science programming to diverse communities in the Chicagoland area. Her other interests include reading murder mystery novels and spending time with her family and friends.

Alexandra Salgado is our legal intern. She is a first-generation high school senior interested in immigration law. Fluent in both English and Spanish, Alexandra is happy to help anyone in need! She is looking forward to gaining new hands-on experience with her field of interest. During her free time, she likes to sing, dance, bake, and spend time with her dog.
