A judge in U.S District Court in Portland, Oregon has blocked current administration policy change rule requiring prospective immigrants to have health insurance.
A Federal judge in Oregon on Nov 2 temporarily blocked a Trump administration proclamation that would have required prospective immigrants to prove they would have US health insurance within 30 days of their arrival or enough money to pay for reasonably foreseeable medical costs.
Immigration advocates saw this policy as another attempt by administration to hinder immigrants from pursuing legal options for pathways to immigrate. Our office will be following the legal course this challenge.
