New sponsorship rules impacts immigration applicants

US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) recently announced that people who are sponsor to a family member (and some employers) will have to now provide detailed, notarized bank account information if they want to bring someone to the USA. No justification has been provided for these new requirements other than a statement that the additional information will make it easier for the agency to decide whether an immigrant is like to become a public charge or not.

We have adjusted our client documents review to ensure all paperwork is in order. We encourage if you are looking to explore sponsorship based immigration options, ensure that the documentation meets the requirement to avoid unnecessary delays. Contact our office if you are looking for a legal representation for your case.
