Printing backlog at USCIS
USCIS decided to bring the printing of Green Cards and all other employment authorization documents in-house. However USCIS has not able to keep up with the increased demand. There is a current backlog of 75,000 other employment authorization documents and a backlog of 50,000 Green Cards.
The poorly planned changed has been criticized by immigration advocates, many of whom sees it as yet another example of current administration's attempt to thwart immigration.
