Federal Judges in 3 States Blocks Administration’s Public Charge Rule for Green Cards

Couple of weeks ago, we posted information about administration policy changes regarding interpretation of "public charge" .

There is some good news on that front. The policy changes are being challenged in court and making their way through our judicial system.

On Friday October 11, 2019 federal judges in 3 states New York, California, Washington have issued temporary injunctions against the Trump’s administration’s new public charge rule, preventing it from taking place on October 15, 2019. The controversial rule would make it more difficult for immigrants to get green cards if it looks like they might need public assistance in the future.
